Serena Kanda

Serena is a research analyst with experience in marketresearch, data analysis and supporting insight-led decision making across arange of sectors.

At Origin IQ, Serena supports the delivery of research-driven acquisition projects, working closely with the senior team to identify and assess potential target businesses. She contributes to building structured acquisition pipelines by gathering and analysing market data, evaluating opportunities and risks, and producing clear, actionable insights aligned with client acquisition strategies. Her work focuses on translating detailed briefs into well-organised research outputs that underpin off-market engagement and deal origination activity.

Prior to joining Origin IQ, Serena gained experience across consulting and product research roles, including completing a strategy consulting programme where she conducted market analysis to support client profitability and evaluated customer data to assess the impact of new product features. 

She has also worked in research-led roles identifying international partners, assessing commercial opportunities and building relationships to support business growth initiatives.

Serena holds a BA in Politics and International Relations from the University of Leicester, combining strong analytical thinking with a global and commercial perspective.

Outside of work, Serena enjoys art, going to the cinema and exploring new places with her dog.
