Ross Boulton

Ross has a strong entrepreneurial and operator background. He specialises in identifying and developing off-market acquisition opportunities for ambitious corporate buyers and investors. He works closely with private equity-backed businesses and strategic acquirers to build targeted acquisition pipelines and connect them with business owners open to exploring a transaction.

Before joining Origin IQ, he spent a decade as a C-suite executive within a £50m revenue, 500-person environmental professional services group, where he served on the board and played a key role in the company’s journey from private ownership to private equity backing, retaining a shareholding, while leading the technical and corporate development of a buy-and-build strategy.

This experience gives Ross a deep understanding of the challenges and priorities facing founders, operators and investors, allowing him to bridge the gap between entrepreneurial businesses and corporate acquirers.

Ross brings deep sector expertise in the Testing, Inspection, Certification & Compliance (TICC) market, as well as Environmental Services and Hard Services Facilities Management. He has a strong industry network and reputation which helps him identify and engage with high-quality acquisition opportunities.

Outside the office, Ross enjoys travel, often with his young family, and keeping active through cycling and running.
